Shoot of Jules Wabbes collection with Thomas De Bruyne

Posted July 03 2018

Two months ago, we did a photo shoot of our Jules Wabbes collection with  photographer Thomas de Bruyne, at the BP building in Antwerp.  The BP building, which now houses Buysse & Partners and Bank Delen, was designed by Leon Stynen in the early 1960s.  Till the present day, it is still known as one of the first European buildings to be built with the “suspension” construction method, where the floors are suspended with steel cables from the concrete construction on the roof.  Not only did the mid-century modern interior lent itself beautifully to the classic Jules Wabbes furniture, it was a nice fusion of two Belgian design and architecture legends which we are both directly connected to.
