The Gérard Philipe Secretaire is one of the first slatted models created by Jules Wabbes at the beginning of the 1950s. The writing desk was named after the famous French actor Gérard Philipe, one of Wabbes’ first clients. The desk was exhibited at the 1957 Milan triennial and won the Silver Medal. It has been reissued by Bulo in 2010. The desk top of the secretaire is in American cherry wood with rich slatted details. The base is cast aluminium.
